Kunal’s car screeched to a halt in front of the mansion.
Before the engine even stopped, he was already out of the car, running toward the entrance. His heart pounded violently against his chest, every second feeling heavier than the last.
"Ridhima…"
The doors of the mansion burst open as he rushed inside. The house felt unusually silent—too silent.
His footsteps echoed loudly through the hallway as he ran toward her room.
The door was slightly open.
Kunal pushed it wide.
And froze.
Ridhima lay on the bed… motionless.
But something was wrong.
The machines beside her had gone silent.
The steady beeping that once filled the room had stopped.
For a moment, Kunal couldn’t move. His mind refused to understand what his eyes were seeing.
Then suddenly—
"RIDHIMA!!"
His voice shattered the silence of the mansion.
He rushed toward the bed and grabbed her shoulders, lifting her slightly.
"Ridhima… Ridhima wake up!"
His hands shook as he held her face.
Her skin was cold.
"No… no…"
Kunal started shaking her desperately, as if force alone could bring her back.
"Ridhima, open your eyes!"
But nothing happened.
The room stayed silent.
His breathing grew heavier, panic flooding through his veins.
He pulled her closer, his voice breaking.
"Ridhima… please… don’t do this…"
He shook her again, more desperately this time.
"Wake up!"
But she remained still in his arms.
And for the first time in years, Kunal Avasthi—the man feared in the business world—looked completely helpless.
The silence of the room answered him.
